Hugo movie review

After reading the book I was scyched to find out that they were making a movie about it. Because the book is mostly these gorgeous pencil illistrations it was would be fairly simple to translate on a screen. This movie did not disappoint! The charactors are perfectly represented and there are even scenes added to make the train sation security officer seem more human and less threatening. It was an all around cute movie that is great for all ages.

Wallace and Gromit:werrabbit movie review

I love this movie it has wonderful animation and a unique style of humor. This movie has been in my top three since the day I saw it. If you have not seen the short films created with these charactors I'm positive you will not be disappointed all of these crazy tales have a unique charm that should definately be shared!

Gnomeo and Juliet

I've heard from GOOD movies like Ratatouie that bad reviews are fun to write, so I can't wait for this.
First off: YES this IS a "kids" movie but thats NO excuse for ripping off one of my favorite singers of all time Elton Jon! Not to mention all of the quotes they decided to throw in one in particular from Forrest Gump a movie that is so far above this movies budget they should be WORSHIPPING IT not throwing it's quote in because they think thats quality movie making!! But I digress. The movie begins with a mini gnome saying something along the lines of there is a feud and no body knows why it has started which is a little silly but their trying to hard to make this a funny bit, theirs a cane about to pull him off the stage and everything....ha......ha........bad. Next there are two house of a DUPLEX one painted blue the other red. Why these people don't just move away from each other is beyond me, but following the story that they are destroying the red is Capulet and the blue is Montegue. We are then floated into the backyard where we see the gnomes. The male character Gnomeo,I shudder every time I hear that, is a blue and goes to have a lawnmower race with the bully/ villain Tibolt (but to fit with the beat of the Elton Jon tune his name is introduced as Tabletop). Tibolt cheats and wins peeving the blues so they decide to sabotage the Reds yard. Introduce combat warrior but treated like a fragile angel Juliet who wants a flower from another yard and her obnoxious fountain frog ,whose name I forget. Gnomeo goes into yard yada yada spray paints the well yada yada gets seen and escapes to said yard with flower. This is where he meets Juliet who has snuck out to get said flower and apparently they fall in love over one flirtatious conversation. But they find out that they are from opposing yards and thats the conflict. Throughout watching this movie I wondered a couple of different things: Why don't the humans notice that their gnomes can apparently breed, Why don't the humans notice that when their is a mess and they don't clean it up it magically clean later, and why what the freak happens at the END!!! it goes throughout the story, that I refuse to go into anymore detail about because it would take FOREVER to point out all of it's flaws, and the two GNOME sides apparently sort out their differences, but what about the people! I doubt the humans who HAVE NOT GONE THROUGH this emotionally tormenting carousel got over their grudge and I hope they would notice if all the gnomes go and live someplace else! but who knows, with people this blatently oblivious I guess ANYTHING could happen.

If you want watch this movie once and see what im talking about
but watch out it might steal your sense of taste in film

this WAS fun!---kess

Muppets movie review

Recently I saw The Muppets Movie and was emensly impressed with its construction. It was as wonderful as all of their previous films and I could not stop laughing throughout the film. I'm am fairly sure everyone in the theatre was grumbling about my continued hysterical glee at the sight of my favorite characters on screen once again. The movie has some cheesy sequences that are expected from the Muppets movies, but the clever writing takes over for the rest of the film as well as the numerous appearances of celebrities from previous and recent generations. The film is written with just as much fun and humor as any of the old episodes that preceded it. This is an all around FABULOUS movie, I can't wait to see it again.
